FAQ
What do you recommend we wear to a family phtoo session?
We recommend wearing neutral or softly coordinated colors to create a timeless, cohesive look. For outdoor summer sessions, be mindful that certain greens can blend into the background, so choosing tones that offer gentle contrast will help you stand out beautifully.
We also suggest avoiding hats or head accessories, as they can create harsh shadows or become distracting in photos. Flowy dresses photograph especially well, adding movement, softness, and an effortlessly elevated feel to your images.

I have a todDler that screams anytime we haev a photoshoot. Is that okay?
Of course—we’re very used to it! No toddler loves having their photo taken for a full hour, and we completely understand. If your little one starts to feel overwhelmed or grumpy, we naturally shift to poses where Mom and Dad are holding them to help bring comfort (and smiles!) back quickly.
That said, we do recommend booking a full family session rather than a mini. Sometimes, 20 minutes simply isn’t enough to allow toddlers time to warm up, reset, and feel happy and relaxed in front of the camera. A full session gives us the flexibility to work at your child’s pace and capture genuine, joyful moments.

My family aren't the most photogenic. What should we do?

Not to worry! Sophie works hard to make family poses comfortable, natural, and fun, so every family member feels confident in front of the camera. Many of our poses are guided candid moments—we might have you hold hands and walk, spin in a circle, or do other playful activities to keep the mood light and the smiles genuine.
This approach helps ease any posing jitters while capturing real, joyful connections between your loved ones.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
No worries! There’s plenty of availability in my calendar to reschedule your session. Simply reach out via email or phone, and we’ll work together to find a new date in your preferred season—so your photos can still happen exactly when you want them.
